Nearing 4.5K - #SYTYCW15 #LoveInspired

K is here, filming a sketch with some of my siblings.

I managed to write 3.7k+ words this morning, and I am so very happy with myself. I hope I will get this chapter done by tonight, and post it straight away, or tomorrow morning. I can do this, writing is easy for me . . . now, anyways.

I am now on book four of that zombie series O.O sheesh! That friggin' last part of book three has me on speed. Ren, the girl in the book, has just been infected, purposely to get Finn to help regain the East, as they call it. Great read, awesome suspense and steamy romance. I like it.

Well, I was planning to make this post extra LONG, but my younger sister is calling for attention and should I chose to ignore her, my step-mother will never let me hear the end of it. (Because that's how she is)

God bless you all. Keep a look out for that new chapter, and I will see you again soon. Ciao!

Quiet, Early Morning On The Homefront

So, I've been up for an hour. I managed to clean the garage for school. I'm bout to go eat, but decided it was as good a time as any to make this post for the morning.

I sometimes wonder why certain people do not have a mental-filter. They just start to talk about anything and forget that there are other people around them. The fact that I grew up around some people like that has made me careful about other people . . . but not so much that I did not bully them myself. Yes, I was a bit of a bully to some of my siblings, but actually it was the only way either of us managed to interact with each other. I don't think I was so much a bully as I would have thought a few years back. All of it was just the aftermath of something that had happened and I was lashing out.

Thank God I am not like that anymore. After ten years of getting healed from that trauma, I can say that I have been through a lot. My sister has to relive it every day, because she's writing that book. Seven years she's been writing that book.

I have to go. I ate my breakfast, read the rest of book two of zombies. I've got some stuff to do. See you later!

Author Freak Out Moment

J's folks are here to pick him up, but knowing them they will not be leaving just yet. They will probably stay for dinner and then leave. J will be returning later in September, for my other brother's b-day, and then again in October for his birthday. Lots of plans in the next couple months :3

Anyways, I've been interrupted one too many times in the middle of writing, so I've only written . . . 2K words, I think. I am aiming to get to 3K before the day is out. . . But tomorrow starts school at home. So I have to really work hard to get things going faster. My step-mom (one of them) will be taking full advantage of my babysitting services, but the bad thing is that the only payment I get is five minutes of peace and quiet. I've not really announced my writing goal for September, so I am gonna have to say something so that they know that I am writing and not just blogging.

You see, that step-mother is also trying to write a book, and when she heard that I have been putting myself out there, she's been trying to step up her game. It's not a bad thing, but she always gets like that, even when she sees other peoples novels that are sitting in front of her, she gets frustrated. My dad told her to just write the book, but she still gets doubts.

Yes, life with three mothers is weird, but I'm used to it because I have lived this way since I was a young child. Long story, and I am not too good on familiar detail.

Well, I just wanted to post this and get right back to work. See you all tomorrow . . . erm, or whenever I get time to post again. God bless you, ciao!

Back In The Game, The Writing Game (Afternoon Post)

I am so close to 50K words that I now have not doubt that I will get this book finished by the deadline. Not only is my book at 4k reads, but many readers have been adding the book to their reading lists! \o/ =^-^= I am so happy with this book, I cannot even begin to express it.

I managed to write a lot today, much more than I have in the past week. (Not entirely my fault, its been a busy week, filled with lots of fun and visitors.) My writing slump has disappeared almost completely, and I think it is because I read a few new books (that do not reflect on what I am trying to write at all), and they helped me to take a break from what I was aiming for. As it is Sunday, I have the entire day to stick to my writing, with the exception of an occasion pause to read one of the 9 books on my currently reading list.

I think J's parents are going to come get him this evening. It feels normal that he is here, almost like he is one of us.

Well, I have to get back to work. I've got flow right now and I don't want to stop it. See you later!

Sunday Fun-day

Well, I was up at a reasonable hour this morning, but I forgot to think up a post. So, this will be pretty lame.

I posted a new review this morning (a zombie book) and the book fascinating. Its a box set of four books, I only read the first book before posting the review, but I can't stop reading! It is epic! (Not that I plan to make zombie books a habit, because I really don't plan on that.) You can read the review it you like. Just click Haddie's Haven in the pages.

I've got some things to do, so I will leave this post here. See you later!

Pancakes In The Morning, On J!

I apologize for the lateness of this post. And it might be short.

J is making breakfast tomorrow morning. This should be interesting, but I have to say he did a great job with dinner yesterday.

There's another dance party going on.

We're going to watch Little Boy tonight.

I'm reading ten books again, but the October ones can be held off for a while.

My writing is still on hold, but I'm going to be fine.

That's all. God bless. Ciao!

Work Almost All Caught Up, Strange Customs

I managed to finish some books last night. Of which the reviews will be posted at their appropriate times. One will be up today (which means you should go to my book blog after reading this post). Not only that, but I am finding my way through the fairness of book blogging. But my problem is that I really do like the books I've been reading lately. If the revolves around my reading preferences, I will usually love it and give it 5/5 stars.

My writing is going into a slump again, and I think I need to respark it ASAP, because I have deadlines to meet. If I am ever going to get to 55k words in Scarred Hearts, I think I need to put a little more effort. Aside of juggling my reviews and blogging, etc. Not only that, but let's top the cake with J being here. I don't want to be rude. I mean, he did ask why I am always on my laptop, or always writing/reading something. I said the truth, but to be fair, I took more time to be around and be IN THE ROOM. If you can catch my drift.

Because Scarred Hearts is only in my laptop, it is kind of hard to get it written. If I had it paper, I would still have the trouble of having to type it up. Which is probably the reason I have been working so easily on Strong. It's still on paper at the moment. At least, the two chapters that I have written are still on paper. Anyways, Scarred Hearts needs to be finish ASAP. I don't want to drop out of the Harlequin SYTYCW15 just because I did not finish in time. I will have this book done, and I know I will get pretty far in the contest.

J is going to be here through Sunday, as it seems. Which is awesome, because he is a lot of fun to have around. He's the kind of friend that the whole family can be around, and no one will hog him. To an extent. Which seems to happen a lot in my house, whenever people are over. depending on who they come to see.

I think I am going to enlighten you on Puertorican customs. Puertoricans, when they call and you are eating something, they will immediately say "Never-mind, I will call you after you finish." And how 'bout the fact that the usual way they greet each other is a cheek-kiss/hug. My family established the hand-shake. Especially when it is a guy greeting one of us girls. But I've been around, I've gone places, and the cheek-kiss sort of stuck. So hereby let it be known, that I greet everyone according to Spanish custom.

I will stop here. But not after I thank all of you who take the time to read my blog posts. I truly appreciate it. Maybe I can have some more interactive posts, and get you guys to comment now and then. That would be fun.

Well, I will see you on the flip-flop later! God bless!

Reading, Writing, and Initiation

Well, it is officially Friday, and J has been initiated to the crew. Here is how the initiation process goes in my house, when it comes to letting the guy friends this close. J has officially stayed at my house for a near seven days (if you don't count Monday). The last guy to stay at our house for that long (if not longer) was R. J has been recruited to cook tonight, which finalizes initiation. J is officially one of the kids. R has been one of us for a little over two years now.
Please forgive me that I keep talking about my friends. It gives me something new to talk about.

Anyways, I am about to open up my novel and see what I can do tonight. I did not get to do much this morning, because I cooked lunch. But, I have bit plans, and I hope everyone, who has been reading Scarred Hearts, is enjoying it. No one has been commenting. I even went to the extent of dedicating a few chapters to some people I know will comment. (Girl, if you're reading this, though I am joking, I had expected more than that! xD)

I've also gotta read that box set, which I might do instead. Because that is the only book(s) that I need done this week (even though I have a week's extension). Aside of another book I have, that is the only one that needs to be read ASAP. All the other books in my currently-reading list can be read at a later date, before the end of October.

Well, it is dinner time. I am going to go grab some chow. God bless you all, and I will see you all tomorrow!

Late Night Means Late Morning

So, last night, after finishing a fantastic book, and posting the review, I went and joined J and K, my brothers, and a few sisters, to watch Iron Man 3. I must say that I expected it to be more. I loved the first movie. The second movie was meh, and I only watched that one partially. I think K is leaving soon, and J will be leaving this afternoon. What a week!

It's Friday again, that means I cook lunch. Which has already turned into a fight because one of my brothers wants to make the meal that I am making, but he makes dinner tonight. It is always a fight who get to make the chicken sausages. *shrugs*

I have added three (or four) more books to the currently reading list, but the reviews for those do not have to be posted right away. So I am going to get a move on the box set review, that I got an extra week for. I owe it to the author to stay true to my word and Nazarea Andrews is an amazing writer.

My writing is going good, I wrote quite a bit yesterday (while reading, which is easy for me, for some reason). But I am trying to make my posts a few days (at most five) apart. Listening to Teen Writers Publish podcast has been helping me in the writing area. And the one before last spoke about posting schedules. Now, I cannot determine a definite posting schedule, but I am trying.

YA seems to be my writing strength. With my book Strong, I am trying to incorporate elements that would draw in and broaden my reading audience. I am not going to add MATURE elements, I feel that I am not equipped to write such content, nor do I intend to. That's not the example I want to give in my writing. However, I do know how to give the impression of some elements, so I might do that.

"You were with who last night?" "Jared." "OH! Tell me all about it!"

See? I can do that. ;) I do have this one story, though I have yet to work on it for months, that has a mature-ish plot, but not so much that it would be repulsive. I am very cautious with my writing, and I do not wish to make people uncomfortable with it.

I know that my reading has expanded, I now enjoy NALit, and I am quite interested in such books, though I still skip a lot to not frazzle myself.

Well, that is all for now. I've gotta go get a move on lunch (because it takes a lot to feed and armada like this. I will see you all later. God bless.

More Rain, More Books, More Fun!

I'm sitting at my usual work space, with J's phone in my lap to keep it out of the hands of the little kids. (You have been warned: the phones of guests are never safe in this house.) J is going to help cut some grass for the horse (because everything is CLOSED for a hurricane that seems to have died before hitting this island) and some people don't have lights right now. And it seems J and K might have to stay the night again . . . Iron Man 3 tonight! That's the plan, anyway.

I wrote quite a bit before my 2pm cut off, and I am happy with where it is going (I still wish I had more feedback from the readers, but I'm okay because at least they don't hate it). I also wrote a lot for my book Strong (title change is under consideration). I think I now have two new chapters that need to be typed up.

I posted a new review this afternoon, if you would like to check that out - CLICK HERE

Well, that is all for now. I'm sorry for making my posts short-ish lately, but with all that is going on, I almost feel a little overwhelmed. So, I hope you all are having a pleasant evening/morning/afternoon, wherever you are in the world. God bless you.

Party At The Breakfast Table!

So, J and K are here at the table, and there is quite  funny conversation going on. K's got a bunch of sarcasm, and he mixes with my two sisters that have the most sarcasm in the house. J, oh J. He just mixes with everyone and pays attention to the younger brothers, even if they are being obnoxiously annoying (when they say something more than six times). We just need to add R to the mix, and everyone would go nutty.

I've gotta get back into my writing today. Not to mention, I've got this book(s) that I have to read. I have added my currently reading list (from Goodreads) to this blog, so that you guys can see what I am reading. The list is below my favorite books montage.

Well, that is all for now, because I've gotta get a move on. Be smart, be happy. I will see you later. Ciao!

UNO Game: New Record

Just came out of another UNO game, which lasted over and hour in one round. It was so funny; eventually we just had to forfeit because we were at a dead-end. K is here again, he came this morning, and J is staying the night again. Now, supposedly there is to be a hurricane hitting tonight, so they might be stuck here.

I did not get much accomplished today . . . In terms of reading/reviewing and my writing. But today was an exception to the rule, since it was a birthday. Tomorrow I will be right back on track. I am not going to make this post very long, because I have a movie that the gang wants to watch, and it only works with my laptop. So, I may not be on much longer. I am just going to finish my usual night routine, and then get some water, and then watch Do You Believe?

So, yeah, that is all for now. God bless you all, and I will see you tomorrow. Ciao!

Books, Cake, More Books, My Book.

Here's another post I wrote the night before(some of it). Because it seems that I have to really make a better effort to get up before 8:30 in the morning.

J is here, it was kind of nutty yesterday, because the boys played video games. I had the perfect excuse to keep reading and I managed to strike another review book off the list. Which should be posted by now (because I scheduled the review). I still have to start three books, one of which is bookmarked on the first page already and the other two I have yet to open. I did get a week's extension on one particular book though, so I feel a little better about that one.

My chapter went up yesterday morning, just as I had hoped and planned. I am very happy with where it is going, and I will definitely have it finished by the #JustWriteIt deadline. :D

It's nice and LOUD this morning. I hear the boys laughing, and my step-mom has some worship music blasting. My other step-mom is painting, and Dad is working as usual. My mom is in the garden. (I know confusing, but all explanations will come in due time.)

That is all for now. I've got some floors to sweep, and a dog to visit. Ciao!

Violent Video Games

J arrived around an hour ago. He, and all my brothers, are sitting around the television, playing a video game he brought. It is one of those Marvel games, or something like that. Whatever the case, I'm just glad my mom has not

I read one of my new books today, loved it! Should appear in my Goodreads favorites on the side of my blog(s). I loved it!

I am not going to make this a long post, because I've got quite a bit on my mind and I've got things to get done before dinner. So, that is all for now. God bless and I will see you soon!

The Reader Haven

Readers, how many of you enjoy a good rainy day, filled with nothing, but books? I've got several books that I have yet to read (many that had arrived yesterday) and today seems perfect for them. My plans is to finish writing this chapter for Scarred Hearts and then, after two o'clock comes around, I will pick up where I left off in Between the Lines by Jodi Piccoult & Samantha Van Leer. (One of the books from my Amazon GC order) I really like it so far, much better than I had anticipated.

I have a new review (part of a blog tour) on my book blog. So, if you would like to see that, click Haddie's Haven above in the pages. One of the authors (whose book was promoted on that blog) contacted me and wanted to thank me for putting her book on my blog. I'm touched that she took the time to thank me (whether it was just me, or maybe she thanked other bloggers too).

J is coming back this evening, and he will be staying until Thursday, in honor of my brother's 12th birthday. I hope he don't mind the rain, because we is in a bit of a tropical storm. It's not so bad. Granted, the lights went out briefly right as I was posting the blog tour review. I got it up and shared just in the knick of time.

It is another late morning. I did not even eat breakfast yet, and my body is starting to show the aftermath of that. So I really need to get back in the full breakfast swing. I do not think my body is very happy with me about that. :s

Well, as today is Tuesday, I'm on the cooking chart to make lunch. (Who does not like charts? I cannot go without them.) I also think I have some more books I have to finish reading by  . . . I put a personal deadline, though some of these books have a later deadline than the one I give myself. It helps me get things done. Granted, while doing homeschool, my mom would give me a week to get assignments done, but that never worked for me.

A signed copy of Daughter of Lions by Catherine Banks is coming my way! xD My first signed book, that is so rad! (Yes, I am going through a phase of saying rad)

Well, that is all for now. I have 300+ words to write into this chapter so, see y-all on the flip-flop!

Writing, 1D, Pirates of the Caribbean, and More Books!

I've been back at writing for an hour now. My sister got off at 5:30 on the dot today, because I gave my laptop to her right at 2pm. I've got all of my 1D albums on shuffle, and I feel rather motivated to keep writing. This is probably old news, but its new news to me because I only found out today. Orlando Bloom has been confirmed for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales!!!! xD I'm so excited! I mean, I was excited to learn about the fifth movie, but now I might lose control. Oh, and Brenton Thwaites is cast for the movie too. I look forward to seeing it, though it is possible that I won't.

Yeah, when the fourth movie came out, my mom was not impressed, and she had liked the first three movies, to an extent. If I don't see it, that's okay because I just like the fact that there is a fifth movie at all.

#StoryOfMyLife - Everyday, I dread being called to the garage, only to be told that my dog has a bunch of ticks/fleas in his fur. I'm already told enough by my step-mother (because she does not like the dogs in general), I do not need all 15 kids telling me too. x( It's getting to become beyond annoying.

And my Amazon order just arrived!!!! xD Literally, just now my brother walks in from being out and he placed a big package in my lap. All five books that I had ordered on Amazon. I bought them used, but they are in excellent condition! Yes, the spine of one book shows signs of ware, but they are excellent condition. Two are hardcovers and I don't remember ordering hardcover, but who cares!

That is all for now. I've got some more writing to do, and it's dinner time. I will see you on the flip-flop later! Ciao!

Writing By Faith - #SYTYCW15 #LoveInspired

I've been writing (and editing) all morning. I've only just closed my story to have a break. I edited the final version of the chapters. I went back to see the comments on Wattpad, to see what should be applied, changes, etc. I really like how the new chapter is coming out. I still have . . . 2k words to write, but it is really cool. I want to try and finish it so that I can post it tonight, tomorrow at the latest. If I can't I will aim for Wednesday.

I just wanted to update on that for you guys. I will see you this evening!

"Wow! It Is So Quiet!" - #SYTYCW15 #LoveInspired #Wattys2015

Good morning! So, J's parents came to get him last night. However, he might be coming back later this week for one of my brother's birthdays. We had a good time with him here, and he was great with everyone. It was good seeing him. I actually ran into him earlier this summer, at the beach while I was staying at a friend's house. (No, like in May, early summer) After having the guys here over the weekend, it has gotten rather quiet, and I almost wish it wasn't. I mean, yes, my house is usually very loud anyway, but having the guys here made it life of the party.

Well, today is a new week, and I am hoping to get back into my normal swinging routine. In bed before 11pm, up by 7am. A lot of the book tours I participate in usually have to be posted by 8am, so you can see why I want to get back into full swing. (And just to clarify, I wrote this post the night before, knowing I needed to try and get up on time, and just in case I didn't)

Supposedly, there is going to be a tropical storm coming, followed by two hurricanes. \o/ RAIN! Though I do not look forward to the possibility of no lights during the storms. I am looking forward to the rain. The yard has been looking brown, and with rumors of the water running low around town, it seems that this might just kick up the rainy season again. NO MORE DROUGHT! Not that it has been an actual drought. We've had drizzles of rain here and there.

This weekend seemed to be a little . . . in terms of writing, dry. I ran into that slump, but it picked back up. Like I mentioned yesterday, I still have faith that I will get this novel finished by the deadline. I repeat myself by saying: This book is kind of like my baby. This was my first full on novel (though I had taken it off of Wattpad, and put it back up), with the exception of some of my 1D fan fictions. But I do not consider those my babies, because Scarred Hearts has elements that I enjoy reading about. Christian families, faith in the younger people; blossoming romance, but like clean romance.

This is probably why I love The Healer's Apprentice by Melanie Dickerson so much. The storyline was exactly that. The author involved elementals from her faith, all which are very similar to my own. It was sheer brilliance. When I first heard about her books, I knew right away that I needed to get them somehow. Winning one of the giveaways helped me add it to my book crate.

Speaking of giveaways. I just learned that I won another book. A signed book. :D I am not going to get all gushy about it, I am just super excited for it. I just hope I replied in time and that a different winner was chosen . . . The "winning" message was sent to me yesterday. I replied around an hour, or two ago. And I notified the author via GoodReads (because I am friends with that author who hosted the giveaway).

I think that once I get a personal money thing coming in, I will host a giveaway, here on my blog. I know how to use Rafflecopter, so that is a plus. I do not know what I would giveaway, per say, but it would definitely be book related. Or even a random prize that involved something I like personally. People do that, so I will think about that. I cannot make any promises, but it is something I am thinking about and considering on doing. To give back to everyone who reads this blog. I know you are few, but you still read and I truly appreciate it.

I still have Scarred Hearts in the #Wattys2015. I honestly don't think it matters that I have it entered in two writing contests. I noticed lots of people doing the same thing with their novels, so I don't feel weird about it. I merely thought it was not fair to others to be entered with the same story in two different contests. But I should not have felt that way. Lots of people did it in the past. I went around asking, and the main answer was to not worry. So, I'm not going to worry.

I've been using Haddie's Haven 2.0 for the purpose of writing inspiration lately. I think I will just leave that blog for that sort of content, because keeping up with it along with this one, posting the same thing twice. It does not float my boat. I like posting mainly on this blog, so the use of that blog will be mainly to help inspire other writers, like myself, to changing their perspectives on writing in general. Who knows? Maybe my methods will work for others too.

Blogging has been such a fun journey for me. I said it before and I will say it again. I never thought I would like blogging this much. I never thought I would be good at blogging. It feels good to get my random thoughts out like this. Not only am I sharing my days with you guys, but I am enjoying it. I care about trying to become popular. I just find blogging to be something I love. Like that song by The Script - If you don't love what you do."
It's not right, it's not right for you
If you even have to think about it
It's not right, it's not right for you
If you really have to think about it
You got one life to love what you do

So, yeah. I hope you are all well. Go and look at my book blog, I've got a new post up this morning. And I think there is a book giveaway. SO check that out. I will see you all again later. God bless. Ciao!

#SYTYCW15 #LoveInspired Update

Okay, I promise I will NOT blog anymore today. ;D

Update on the #SYTYCW15 #LoveInspired contest. I was working on perfecting my already finished chapters and putting them in my manuscript. This is all by faith, because the next round does not start until September. I have to get to 55K, and I know I will. I am nearly there actually. I just need to get my next few chapters going faster. I might need an editor to make the chapters flow in a different layout. To make my previous chapters longer and fit with the new chapters that I have been writing. Because it just feels like they are uneven or something. All the same, I do love how it is coming out.

I am DETERMINED to get this novel finished on time, and I will have it finished. Honestly, I did feel a little bit discouraged over the last couple of days, due to the fact that I was rushing to get a large amount of books read before deadlines (which I have and I lowered that number to six, and it went up to seven, with the exception of two that I will go back and finish later). However, I regained courage and faith, and now I am back n track.

Scarred Hearts is my baby right now. Probably because of whom I based some of the characters after . . . It is very special, considering I wrote it when I was around sixteen and invisible. By invisible, I mean literally. With all the activities I did as a teenager, I never would have thought I would be a blogger.

I always liked the idea of a blog, and I had started another blog with a different name a few years ago. Eventfully, deleting that one, and creating this one.

Okay, I'm done for today . . . I think. If something new happens, I will try and save it for tomorrow. God bless you all and I will see tomorrow! Ciao!

World's Longest Recorded UNO Game!

XD I literally just got out of what seems to be the LONGEST game of UNO I have ever played in my lifetime. 40 minutes! J and my two younger brothers asked me to play. So I stopped writing and got caught up playing. It was the Hunger Games of UNO, it was so much fun. They are still playing the same round, but I won and got out first. The Careers have broken up and not they are no longer allies. Every man for himself in the game of UNO now.

That's all for now. See you later!

P.S. Pre-order this book while you can -

Listening To "Old" Tunes With The Boys

So, my brother and J are sitting at the table, right next to my work station. My brother never fails to get his friends to sit down and draw. I remember, a few years ago, before my family moved out of that neighborhood, J would come over often. He lived right down the street. Now, in that neighborhood, there were two Js, same name. Both really cool dudes.

As an ex-tomboy, I used to run around with them, playing all the rough games, and being the best in our baseball games. I've changed a lot over the last . . . seven years. O.O Not only that, but I used to love being outdoors. Something must have changed my perspective, because now I only go to the outdoors to keep my dog quiet. I will be honest though, if out of necessity I need to get away, for whatever reason, I will sneak off and hide outside somewhere, with my notebook and pen, and write.

This all winds back down to the fact that guy friends are the best. No drama. Never a boring moment. And they laugh, you can't help laughing along with them. Which is probably why I like reading books with girl/guy best friends so much. I grew up with them. *shrugs*

I've got a new review posted on my book blog (you can click the page link). Not a very elaborate review, just my pure enthusiasm for the book itself. I've got several new posts going up in the next couple of days, so keep an eye for those. You will love them. :)

See you all later! I've got some typing to do.

(P.S. Totally forgot the main reason for the title of this post. J has his phone playlist on, and we are listening to songs that I have not heard since the last time we saw him.)

Late Morning . . . Again

So, I woke up late again. My fault, I fell asleep reading over one of the last books I reviewed. My brother's friend is still here, probably until this evening when his folks come to pick him up.

I really don't know what to say at the moment, other than that I love buttering eggs in the morning. *Julia Child voice* so much butter!

Yeah, I'm just going to let you guys read this and I will see you later. It's Sunday. A full day on my laptop. :D

My Writing Muse

So, I decided to elaborate on something that helps me write. It is not something I turn to all the time, but it definitely helps. I have this journal that I used to keep. Somethings happens, and I stopped writing in it. Around six months ago, I picked it back up, but with a different approach. Instead of writing about what I did in the day (because I do that on my blog now :D) I have this ongoing, poetic-like, shorty story that I've been writing. It's got nothing to recommend itself, other than the fact that it is just me rambling random things on paper. It is just me throwing ideas to the paper, hoping it will stick. The story is scattered, with no point, so I would have to really WORK to get it molded into readable material.

I managed to do more typing today. I found my muse again, as I pointed out earlier. I need to catch up, but I have faith that I will get these last few chapters finished. I am determined to have it finished in time.

That is all for now, I will see you all tomorrow. J is still here, so I think he will be staying over again. K left before lunch. Ciao!

Watch Me Work Magic!

I was testing my screen-recording software last week, and this is what I did. Please forgive the 1D music in the background, but then again, that is the reason I did the graphic in this video. It is in fact for a 1D story I had written a couple years ago. I hope you like this odd post, I will be posting once more before midnight strikes! :D

The Party Continues!

The guys are still here (they stayed the night). Let's call them by the first letter of their names. K and J are still here, and it has been quite a morning. First I did after being fully awake (after a morning prayer) I told myself to change my clothes. "Haddie, there are guys here. Change so that you are looking decent." Now, had R been here, I would not have worried, because R has stayed here several times. This is K's and J's first time staying at the house.

I checked Scarred Hearts position in the #SYTYCW15 tags, on Wattpad, and I learned that my story is at the top of the hot list for the tag #LoveInspired! xD That has never really happened before. Wanna see? CLICK HERE

School is going to be starting up in the house again. Which means I might be back to teaching preschool, to the youngest of the kids. I took over preschool when I was 18 yrs. old. Before the one year old baby was here, it was the terrible twosome, and they five now. I am going to try and work out the kinks, but everyone in my house now knows that I blog daily, and that I share reviews, etc., so there will not be much to cause me to stop for long periods of time. Which reminds me, I have two new reviews posted (with visuals!). If you would like to see them, you can click HERE and HERE. Both were such amazing books.

Well, that is all for now. I shall see you all later today! Ciao!

My Sister's Words: Why Are All Of Our Friends Guys?

She's only just noticed. I mean, sure, two of our guy friends are here today. Funny thing, today is like hotter than snot, right? And my sister was sitting my laptop, doing her daily work, and our friend walked through the room right as she shouted: "Why is it so hot, all of a sudden?!" And he replies: "It's because I'm here." We just started laughing! It was just so random that we just laughed. Now, We don't only have guy friends, its just that all the girls are off at school or moved the the States to get jobs.

LOL So, everyone is gathered around the table to pray for dinner. My mom has to go shopping soon, so there is a bit of a suck-weed dinner. (Sorry, but that expression has been around in my house for two decades) We've got so many people at the table!! So much laughter! One of the cool things about guy friends, they bring the party. Honestly, I will take a guy friend over a girl any day. (no offense)

Anyways, lots of fun going on, and I've got some writing to do (because I'm slacking off). Be joyous and merry. God bless you.

\o/ #DragMeDownMusicVideo

Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am totally fangirling right now! xD Not only did I make chicken PERFECTION today, this video is making me crazy!!!! I love the change in their sound, this is such a great kick-off to the band without Zayn. I think they deserve this big time . . . Okay, I found use for my $15 iTunes GC! As soon as their album is available for re-order, I'm buying!

New Cover Idea

Good morning! So, last night I was up goofing around with Pixlr last night, and I got carried away with Scarred Hearts. I just felt that it needed a more pro-looking cover for the #SYTYCW contest. And going along with what I have seen the covers of Harlequin to look like, this is what I came up with, though I know it would not be official.

Best one I've done so far, I think.
Well, that will be all for now. My brother has a friend coming over, and I am still in my PJ's.
Check out my book blog (Haddie's Haven), I've got new reviews up, and more to come. God bless!

#SYTYCW15 Update . . . I'm on mushrooms . . .

LOL, no I'm not! I mean, yes, I ate a delicious mushroom gravy. xD I'm full of puns at the moment, but I'm not going to go all out and write a post of them. Or will I?

I'm just getting back on after letting my sister finish her tasks of the day. I typed 940+ words today, so I am not entirely behind. I just want to get to 1.5k before the end of the night. If I get more, great. The plan is to type 4.5k (more or less) for the next (three) chapters until I meet my final goal.

Anyone else notice that Demi Lovato went from rising like a skyscraper, to crashing down like an avalanche? O.O Yeah, decipher that one for a moment.

I've been writing very SHORT posts today. What the heck? Whatever, it don't matter. Tomorrow is a new day.
I will see you all again soon! God bless!

Just Stating The Obvious

I am not your average blogger, am I? I mean, who can blog about herself (or random crap) three and four times a day?

Also, I am changing up my blog(s) again. I am trying to make them more reflective of what describes me, and what I like. I love the layout I have right now, I am just going to add some changes. The header image? It reflects my imagination. My icon (the cartoon one) is my inspo for my new color theme.

That is all for the before-lunch post. See you later!

Not Even One Day . . .

And my sister got her hands on one of my books, and now the bookmark it came with is MIA. *face-palm*
It's alright, its in our room . . . Somewhere. I'm going to slow down on reading and try to start more typing today. I feel that I can hold off reading for today, but the current book I am reading is so good! I can't stop reading it, with the exception of the bare-necessities of life. *sings in Baloo's voice* - You can look through my Goodreads updates on the sidebar and you will meet Tru. ;)

I will elaborate in my next review. this is going to be a short post, because I woke up after 8:30 today. :3 see you all later!

More Books!!!!!

So, I just got back from a car trip, and I have been bugging to get this post going. I received three more books in the mail!! xD One of which was The Healer's Apprentice by Melanie Dickerson. Since getting The Twelve Dancing Princesses by Jenni James, I have bugging with impatience for this book to arrive.

I also received The Kindness by Polly Samson, and the cover is beautiful! I expected it to be paperback, but its a hardback. So, a win-win situation.

The third book I received is an ARC from Harper Elixir, called Persephone Rising: Awakening the heroine within, by Carol S. Pearson, PH.D. It's for modern-day women, and it tells Greek myth and something like that.

My dad also bought me a much needed mouse for my laptop, so that is also a plus. I am expecting my Amazon package to arrive this weekend, or next week.

I just checked my email, and the SYTYCW team has replied to some of my questions. I'm pumped and set to go!

I just received an email confirming my request to read I Am Titanium by John Patrick Kennedy. . . I signed up for this review copy before learning that I won the e-book. But that's okay, I can still do the review. It does not need to be up live until . . . Oct. 10th, so I've got plenty of time to read that one.

Well, that's all for now. I am just going to finish my dinner and prepare my next review layout, because I've still got 8 books I need to finish. (I did not do any typing today, but I think that is alright, because the other time I did the 4.5k, I took a whole two days off.)

Lots of love! Ciao!

EntangledPub (Crush) Is The Coolest!

Well, they are one of the coolest publishing presses. I just love how they make books (though from different authors) look like they were all meant to be in a series. I've three book that I am currently reading from Entangled Crush. If you love contemporary, light-hearted themes, these are for you. I will be posting a review for each of them as soon as I finish reading, one of which will be this week.

I like to write my reviews as I go along. I've actually added a GoodReads widget to both of my blogs, so you guys can see what I am currently reading and you can see my little fangirl moments as I read them. The one on this blog is underneath the blog archive section on the sidebar, just to help you find it faster. xD

I've been goofing around with the design of my blog(s), so you might notice it changing now and then. OH! Be sure to look at the new review I posted this morning. You can either click the page button at the top of my blog, or if you feel a bit lazy, CLICK HERE

I've got 4.5K more words to start on today. But I am glad that I have read nearly half of a book (out of the nine I am reading) last night, and I am reading a little more this morning. Which I should be doing right now.

However, I have concreted a routine for myself. I blog in the morning; check my email(s) and share my posts from Haddie's Haven. Update my GoodReads lists, check out the freebies from Amazon emails. All while cleaning the garage, greeting Spike, typing a bunch of imaginative words, and reading three books at once. :)

Well, that is all for this morning. I've got lots coming up over the next week(s) so keep your eyes open. I will see you all later today! Bye!

My Eyes Are So Irritated!

My allergies decided to kick in today. To cover it up, I did my make-up, which I rarely do because my skin is very sensitive. So, aside of an itchy nose, my eyes are watery and irritated from the shadows.

I'm supposed to be watching the youngest of the boys (the one-year brat-brother, he was not always a brat. He's the youngest. Imagine.), but my other sister said she would watch him for a bit until I got some stuff done. I don't know if the brother's mom realizes the amount I have on my plate and all that I am attempting to get done before the end of September.

I'm on low sugar levels at the moment. My mom went out to buy groceries, because the cupboards are totally bare. So, there is nothing I can snack on to fix this headache and wobbly knees. Hopefully she will be back soon.

I'm only 500 words away from finishing this chapter. xD I'm really happy with it. I still have a strong feeling that I can get this done by the deadline . . . in September. And I still have faith that I will go pretty far in the contest. I am prepping my final manusript by faith. Whether I am chosen for the final round, or not, at least I learned how to deal with the pressures of a deadline, and learned how to write X-amount of words in one month.

I used to want to join Wattpad's #JustWriteIt, but because my sister uses my laptop for over a year or more, I did not think I would get to do it. Being 22 does not always have it's benefits, especially when you still live under your folks' roof. Not that it is bad, I just sometimes wish I could close the door and work for hours. I sit at the dining room table as my work station.

I managed to read one page of each of the books I am reading. Not much, I know, but I've not got much time. It's a lot that I am doing in one month. Did I mention today that I am quite forgetful? Well, I am. I hope I don't get anymore surprise e-ARCs in my email.

That is about all for now. I don't know if I will post again, but this makes two posts anyways. God bless you, and I will see you all soon! Ciao!

8 Books Before The End Of September? What?

"First we're in a blender, now we're saving lives? What?" (Dually quoted from the movie about two old guys who want to work at Google)

I am writing this post the night before, because there are some guests outside the window, playing a board game with some of my siblings, and I know that I am going to get to bed late. Iwill probably add more in the morning anyways.

Anyways, I did not realize how many books I had to read before a deadline in September. I thought I had four or five, not eight! I mean, I keep finding new ones in my email when I check in the morning. I am quite forgetful when it comes to what books I request to read, because half the time I expect not to be selected to read them! I had to pull off all of Jenni James' books so that I did not overwhelm my currently reading list on Goodreads. I read one, but it only goes so far. (Added later - make that 9 books)

I was right, I would be adding more to this post this morning. I am just enjoying my sandwich (runny egg and avocado. don't till you try it) and I'm tired. The game from last night lasted until around 11pm.

I've gotta get a head-start on those books. Keep an eye open for my book blog. I've got some cool posts coming up! Ciao!

Working On Other Stories

Because I am typing Scarred Hearts in my laptop, I am unable to work on it with pen and paper. So, to pass the time, leading up to now, I chose to work on a story that I have not touched in six months.

My story, Strong, is about a young woman who is falsely accused and sent to a detention center, and how she must keep her eye on God. This story is not my baby-baby, but it holds a spot in my heart. Because the topic I chose to write for the plot is based on an experience a friend of mine went through. I will go into great detail about it, as it is not something I choose to talk about, but the plot is for a more mature audience. Due to the fact that I chose to mention the use of drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, and one of the characters makes brief mentions of innuendo. I do NOT write about such topics, but I felt it was necessary for this story. I still keep my distance from going to extremes with my writing, so I don't think it would really be too mature.

I made a new cover for this story, though I do not have much plan to update it during the #SYTYCW15. I want to use the majority of my time to work on Scarred Hearts to have it finished by the deadline, in September. I'm on a roll, and I can see me finishing it in time.

I got a few more books that I have to read this month, which I had requested before entering #SYTYCW15 on Wattpad. I managed to stop reading three, one of which I was reading to give feedback to the author before it gets published, and the other that is for a book tour in September. The one for the tour I put down. I will explain more in my review, so I don't give it away too early.

I may have taken on more than I can chew, but I am determined to do it all! xD Call it self-motivation to finish the massive plate of food that is set before me,though I am a lady and I tend to have some manners. (Will-I-Am would like that metaphor LOL)

Anyways, I've got some more typing to do. I am nearing 3k words for this chapter. Count your blessing people. You don't know how lucky you are until you start losing them bit by bit. God bless you. Ciao!

Today'Is A New Day

Good morning, how are all of you? I am well, thank the Lord. I slept like a brick, after two nights of waking up in the middle of the night, and going to bed late.

I have plans to start up my word counting again. I started last night, but was too distracted to keep going. Plus, it was kind of late, so that's okay. I wrote  . . . 3-400 words last night. So that is not bad, when you think about it. At least I did wrote something instead of nothing at all.

Today is "cleaning day", so everyone around me is trying to get chores and stuff like that going. I do the screens and fans, but the deal is that I can do those in the afternoon, while my sister is on my laptop. Points to me for putting that together. Imagine 15+ people hustling around the house, trying to get things going.

Today I also have plans to make a run to the mail box, and hopefully my next book is there, waiting for me. I added ten books to my 2015 Reading Challenge on Goodreads, because I did not expect to get that many books read, and I started in the middle of the summer. I'm actually back at the number I originally started with, 45. I lowered it, because I did not think I would get around to that many. So, little by little, I have raised the number by five, until yesterday, when I added 10. I had lowered the number to 15 books at the beginning.

I have decided to read all of Jenni James' books, however many chapters that are available, on Wattpad. She has her complete series posted (except for Beauty and the Beast) and each book stops somewhere, because her publisher said to keep some chapters on reserve. Promotional purposes. I loved The Twelve Dancing Princess! I loved the story, the characters, and the fact that is was a clean read. Clean reads are bae in my house, and it is kind of hard to come by them. Especially when you have tons of siblings who borrow your books. So, that is what I plan to do.

I also am hoping to get a Kindle (Paperwhite or Fire HD, whichever I get my hands on). I know I have said that before, but it is hard to do when I don't have an income yet. I'm working on that detail.

Well, I shall be back later. I am trying to finish my morning tech routine before I am called to do my usual sister duties. See you all later!

Reminiscing . . . Fangirl Has Not Left

So, I put my iTunes library on shuffle, and it is playing my 1D songs one after another. I think I may be playing the actual albums themselves, but I have not listened to them like this in so long. I miss the old songs. I mean, don't get me wrong. I love that the band wanted to change their sound. I feel a bit nostalgic.

Anyways, its has been raining almost ALL DAY! xD It's been so long since we had this much rain. God is sending the rain. Count your blessings.

I am just getting on my laptop, and I am going to try and do some writing. I've got a word count to multiply, and I am on a roll. I mean, I got that trailer uploaded, I'm working on some new cover prospects, and I have a very good feeling about Scarred Hearts. It is going to be epic.

Well, that is all for now. I hope you are all well, and God bless you! ♥

Good morning special people! So, I found some really good clips, mostly of what I was looking for, and I managed to pull together a nice trailer. It will have to do for now. I am satisfied for now, and I shall continue to seek a trailer maker on Wattpad. I actually prefer to have more than one, because each trailer maker will get their work show-cased, and I like the different styles.

Anyways, I am actually writing this post the night before, because I did not know if the trailer would be uploaded before midnight. YouTube goes somewhat slow, but I am hoping the updates added speedy uploading.

The trailer will be posted below. It might not work at first. Do not fret, that is probably because it did not finish processing/uploading yet.

No Progress

Hey guys, so I have made not much progress with the book trailer. But I did skim through Stuck In Love, and I think it was very interesting. I must say that the gag reel was much better to watch, Nat Wolff, Logan Lerman. Sexy beasts. . . . I just said that, yes I did. Hey, girls out there who agree. Am I wrong to say that? No, I'm not. I'm just stating the obvious. Come on, I watched Nat on the Naked Brothers Band on Nickelodeon, and the first movie I saw Logan in was Hoot. Life as a twelve year old was very oddly out of place for me, growing up, and those were some of the few things I was allowed to watch.

I am not going to ramble much. I am trying to find a short clip on YouTube, with Logan crying in that movie, after his movie mother dies. I cannot find it ANYWHERE. So I am a bit frustrated at the present. . . . Never mind I just found it. Lucky me.

Well, I am going back to editing this trailer. So far my laptop has been cooperative, and I don't want to push the limits.

See you all tomorrow. Remember to look at Scarred Hearts (using my Wattpad link at the top there) and leave me some constructive critiques. I want to perfect it for the SYTYCW contest. Thank you for reading, and God bless.

Self Promotion Is Not All Easy

So, it seems my sister did not feel well to day and asked to exchange her today's work day for tomorrow, so I have been hard at work all day. I've been taking breaks, and I am not going to write very much today. I have posted the new chapter to Scarred Hearts.

Which brings me to my dilemma. I have been trying to get Wattpad trailer makers to make a book trailer for some time, but no one has kept their word. I know they are busy with every day life, but the least they could have done was let me know that they could not complete the task.

So, I have resulted to make the trailer myself, though I worry about my laptop. Because the last time I used my WMM (windows movie maker) my laptop decided to take a sick week. Imagine that. So, I am going to try and be careful about it, and not use it too much. I hope to make the trailer short and sweet. That's all I need. Which brings me to the next problem.

The cast I originally have in mind, it is very hard to find clips of them, so I am resulting to just use clips of Logan Lerman and Lily Collins. One, they are so cute together. Two, they are close enough to what I am thinking about.Three, there are scenes in their movie Stuck In Love that help me visualize. Logan, when he was crying in that one scene? (Okay, I have not seen the movie, I saw the trailer). That fits perfectly for when Michael. And Lily could play Leyda. It works!

My original casting for Michael and Leyda in Scarred Hearts are Harry Treadaway and Dia Frampton. Also, for those who have not seen it yet.

Yes, I have made a new cover for Scarred Hearts, with the intentions of it being more contest presentable. I like how it came out, but I might put the old one back up, if this one does not deem worthy. . .  This book trailer has me all wound up. I really wish I had clips of the original cast. They just fit better. I know that Harry Treadaway's twin brother was in a music video with The Script, so maybe I can use a clip from there. But the setting is wrong. . . . I'm gonna see what I come up with and post about it later. See ya!

A Movie Worth Watching

Good morning! So last night, my family was watching Do You Believe? \o/ WOW! That was amazing! Such an impact, and well done! It is so hard to find a good Christian film down here, and that one. . . It was worth watching.
I managed to add more words last night, I am not at 4.5k xD I'm very happy that I did not stop. I am that much closer to 5k.

I've got quite a few things coming up on my book blog. I'm in a few blog tours, I've got some new reviews coming up. I even have some books that I am reading NOW, to have a review before the end of this month, Sept. and Oct. Imagine that. But I've got a handle on them, and I have been reading each of them when I get time. Sundays are my best day to do all that stuff. Its the one day my sister does not use my laptop.

I really hope to finish these chapters before the deadline in September. I feel that I can do it, but there is that slight doubt because I am limited to time on my laptop during the week. I've made the word count my main focal point. If I am unable to finish, I can always try again next year, with the same story or a different one.

That is all for now. I've got more typing to do, and my family has a visitor coming in about half an hour. I'm not dressed for the day yet, but I had to get this up. My inner clock is still out of whack.

God bless you all. Have a pleasant day, and I will see you on the flip-flop!

#SYTYCW15 #LoveInspired - Preparations, Editing, Bonus Chapters

Hey guys, I apologize for the suck-weed posts today. Its been an odd day, and I have been so wrapped up in this SYTYCW thing that I am just being forgetful. I am trying to get the extra writing in, to have the 50-55K words. I mentioned on Twitter that I am at 33K+, so I do not have far to go, and I have already written 3.1K words, in the past 24hrs. So I am on a roll. Over the weekend, I hope to have more words, and I am loving writing Scarred Hearts again. I had "finished" that story a few months ago. I never would have thought that I would want to enter this contest, but I know it will be a great experience, and it will help me push my writing limits. Harlequin, Love Inspired, that is my category. I did not know they had a category for my style writing, and I am so glad about that.

I've literally got an online word-count thing open. I have never felt so confident about my writing. I mean, I have been confident about it as I love what I write, but this is quite a sensation. I feel that I could go pretty far in this contest. I mean, I was a Wattys2013 finalist, for crying out loud. When I told my mom about being a finalist, her eyeballs popped out of her head. ". . . I never knew that!" she said. And we were driving in the car, so imagine the car jolting, only slightly. Being a finalist was quite an experience. The thing is, I was not entirely confident about the story I entered in the Wattys2013. It was poorly written, a crossover, mixed, fan-fiction and it was my . . . I think it was my fourth story I had ever written. First to be completed, but fourth to start writing.

You readers are probably wonder "Why is she writing this blog post when she should be adding to her word count?" Let me just answer that question before anyone says it. I am adding words, I've not stopped. Just a short break every three minutes to write this post. I think I will have this bonus chapter ready to post, at the latest, tomorrow morning. I am flying on inspiration right now, so I think it will take a lot more than a short time blogging to stop me from writing this book.

I have to say that I have many authors that inspire and motivate me as I aspire to write the way they do. I read my new book this afternoon (yes, the whole book) and Jenni James encouraged me, because The Twelve Dancing Princesses was not such a big book, and it did not bog me down. I like her work because her books come out to around . . . 200 pages (The Faerie Tale Collection at least, because I did not read her Jane Austen Diaries series yet). That is a smallish book, as far as novels goes. Most readers would prefer longer chapters, and longer books, but I like short chapters. That's just my style.

Well, I am off to go make a few rounds of popcorn, for the family who is watching a movie. I will be joining them after the popcorn is done. But I am also going to try and write some more. See you all in the morning. God bless you.

Book Arrival!

Okay, so I could not control the feeling and I tore the envelope open. So there will not be much of "un-boxing" as there is just showing off my new books.

One of the books I won from the YouTube giveaway has arrived! - Bookstagram photo link -

I cannot wait to start reading it! I have it in my reading list on Wattpad, but I never got around to it. Now it is in my hands, and I am looking forward to it. Review will posted, of course.

That is all for now, because I am still reading that surprise book, and I was making lunch. . . Chicken is not done yet :/

Blogging While Roasting Chicken

So I forgot to blog this morning, but hey, I woke up after 8, which was strange. I am currently waiting for the oven to finish preheating so that I can put two birds in there. Normally I would have had them in by now, but its been a slow morning.

Really enjoying the book I am reading right now. Goosebumps with every turning page.

Really short post for now. I gotta go. Ciao!

Thursday, August 13, 2015

Good evening lovely readers!

I am just sitting at the dinner table, headphone on high, blasting my writing playlist (currently playing Tay Swiftie's Wildest Dreams), whilst coming up with bonus chapters for my book Scarred Hearts. Because this is the story I entered in to the #SYTYCW Harlequin contest on Wattpad. I just want to see how well it does in the competition. I would like to see how high it goes. If I get to the top thirty, or even the top twenty, I will be satisfied. I was a Wattys2013 finalist, so I am pretty confident about this story going pretty far.

I am trying to get Scarred Hearts up to 50-55k words. Today, alone, I was able to write 1k words, which is more than I normally do in three days. I am going to try and make the bonus chapters 3-4k words. Or even 5k words, which would be better. So, that means the story is going to go on, with more events that lead up to the epilogue. I am going to post the bonus chapters (bonus in the title and the chapter number in parenthesis) in between the last chapter I posted and the epilogue.
Guys! I have added some information to my graphics website, concerning services, but I am still working out a payment system. Or a bartering system. Because trade for labor worked in years past, why should it not work now? Click the Harper Art page on this blog if you would like to see the changes.

Guys, I have such great plans for the Rescued book. I edited it, somewhat, and I am working to get the third installment written so that you can read it before the complete book starts posting.

Guys, to be honest, I would probably only publish my books to put them on my personal bookshelf. I write what I want to read, so it would make sense. ;)

Well, that is all for today. I hope you are all in good health. God bless you, you're beautiful, and I will see you all tomorrow! Ciao!

Headache Hangover

Now I know what you are thinking, but that is not what it is.

I went to bed with a harsh headache and now I am sort of suffering the ending parts of it. Not to mention one of my brothers is blowing up the pool with this awful machine that makes a horrible, high-pitched zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz noise. So, imagine an elephant sitting on the side of your head, and that sound is creating an atomic bomb-like feeling in your head. Can envision it? Let me help.

See it now?

Well, that is all I am going to post for now. I just want to go eat and drink a bucket of water. I will see you all later. Don't forget to check out my recent post on my book blog!

Something I Admire

What would it be like if you had been born in a different time? Like, what is your favorite time era? My sister (the one who would read college level at ten years old), often goes around with an aura of elegance. I often think it, and she often says that she wishes to have been born during the Victorian days. Jane Austen, Queen Victoria; that time. That is probably because she read Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Sense and Sensibility, all at a very young age. Her vocabulary for a twelve year would have left a college student flabbergasted. She's brilliant beyond her years.

To return to my point from my last post about boy-bands. I am reading Ali Novak's The Heartbreakers, and I am just . . . ♥♥♥ I think because it just brought me back to last year when I went through the crazy phase of being a fan of One Direction (sorry, not sorry). I will have a full review posted when I finish reading it, which will be . . .  Tomorrow, I think. I plan to go all out like I did in my Everealm review. If anyone is watching my reading progress of this book on GoodReads, you will know that it moved me to tears twice. No book has done that to me in some time. ♥

That is all for tonight. Thank you stopping by. Have a blessed evening, and I will see you all tomorrow. Ciao!

WiFi, Books, Wattpad, Boy Bands. . . Me.

So, I am reading this AMAZING book that is originally from Wattpad. I friggin' follow the author forever, and I cannot believe that I never read her book. I mean, I read one of them, halfway through, and forgot to go back to it. I will not go into detail. If you follow me on GoodReads, I update my reading progress every few minutes, depending how long I plan to be reading at that moment.

I am also reading another book that will soon hit the market, and I am so engrossed in it that I keep forgetting plug my laptop in! "You battery has reached 10%."

So, to explain why this morning post is a bit late going live is because the WiFi was being a total butt at 7am, all the way until 9:00.

I am creating a new favorites list/post for this week so that I can share the new books I have been reading. And I have noticed that I have been able to read without stopping at scrambled letters on the page. The past couple days have been dyslexia free, thank the Lord. I've been whizzing through books without any problems. I even have been able to write a bit more normal. When I go back to check what I've done, I don't see anything out of place. ☺

Boy bands. Who does not like boy bands? I love them, but I make an effort not to have no control. I am particular about which bands I listen to, and I have been writing this post for well over an hour. I am just gonna post and see you all later. LOL

I Don't Know About You, But I'm Feeling 22!

I friggin' love turkey! Turkey all around!

Well, this makes four posts today. But let's make it a bit punny, yes?

So like, my friend's been telling me that you've been sleeping with my sweater. But you see, I can't wake up from living a nightmare that keeps playing over again. This is the clock upon the wall. This is the story of us all. Don't break my heart before I give it to you. Don't tell me 'no' before I ask you to. You're gonna have to take him away, 'cause he don't wanna leave. Some say that love, it is a river. Saturday morning, jumped out of bed and put on my best suit. Have you ever felt like everybody's watching, waiting for you to lose?

I've gotta heart, and I've got a soul. Believe me I use them both. Who's that shadow holding my hostage? I've been here for day. Hold on 'cause I'm letting go. I'm gonna lasso your heart, like a rodeo. Going out tonight. Changes into something red. Her mother doesn't like that kind of dress. You don't go with the crowd. You go your own way. You don't play after dark. You light up my day. Midnight; you come and pick me up, no headlights. Tell me you believe in love. It's not an illusion.

Words, like a loaded gun, shot out like a fire tongue. If you forget the reason that you're singing, and it's hard to find the song that holds your soul. He said 'let's get out of this town. Drive out of the city, away from the crowd.' I'm lost in a world that rattles my brain. I'm cleaning up my life from the mess you made. Cause, baby, now we've got bad blood. You know, we used to be mad love? So take a look at what you've done. Cause baby, we've got bad blood.

I was at an all time low, that night you walked in. You were just close enough to smell whiskey on the breath. I don't know you, but I want to. I'm like a crow on a wire. You're the shining distraction that makes me fly home. They tore my high school to the ground, and put a new wing in the east lot. In my old parking spot. The snow glows white on the mountain tonight. Not a footprint to be seen. Do you still sleep without your pillow, in the house, on Cherry Street? The light goes down and the night is calling to me and I've figured it out. I've figured it out from black and white. He's mercury in retro gray. Or is that the excuse that I've always made?

When I'm fat and old, and my kids think I'm a joke, written in these walls are the stories that I can't explain. All I know is that there's something about you. Got me feelin' like I can't be without you. There's a storm coming up and I've gotta prepare myself, 'cause this feeling's getting strong every day. I know you said that you don't like it complicated it, that we should try to keep it simple. But love is never simple, no. Hard to find a way to get through. It's a tragedy.

I drew a broken heart, right on your window pane. Waited for your reply, here in the pouring rain. If I close my eyes, and imagine you are here. Turn around. Every now and then I get a little bit lonely, and you never come around. I used to bite my tongue, and hold my breath. I know you have been kicked around, searching for some solid ground. For all of the moments, and good times, I think I'm gonna lose my mind. Something deep inside me says I can't give up.

I used to wanna be living likes there's only me. And now I spend my time looking for a way to get you off my mind. I didn't want to say I'm sorry, for breaking us apart. Hello, I know its been a while. I wonder where you are, and if you think of me. I'm gonna pick up the pieces, and build a lego house. You warned me that you were gonna leave. Never thought you would really go. It's been a while, can't ever get it right. Baby, come on over.

See what I did there? LOL xD Okay, all I did was put my iTunes library on shuffle and I added the first couple lines from each song. I have so much more stuff in my library, but I fear that if I were to keep going, you would be here reading for another three months. This just gives you a brief idea of what is in my music library. Can you name the songs/artists used in this post? Let me know in the comments! Some are more obvious than others. . . .

My Writing Goals And Other Things You Did Not Know About Me - Prepare For A LONG Post. (Part Two)

. . . I know that I have two . . . okay, three stories that I have written, I based one of the characters after a very good friend of mine. I will not put names, but this friend knows about this. Anyways, I know that I based these character on this friend, but I did not realize I had done it until after I was finished with those stories. I only started to take notice of those characters (in particular) when I went back to read my accomplishment and I ended up saying to myself: "Wow, that sounds very much like so and so!" I later learned why I had done it without thinking, and I will not go into that, because it just will bring up some old things that should remain buried.
I often say that Wattpad is my escape. I like the feeling logging in and looking to see what's new, and I love decorating my profile (which I have not done in a while, because I am pretty happy with my current icon and header over there).

I continuously mention that I am dyslexic. Well, let me just say that it took a lot LONGER to write this second part than it did to write the first part. And I thought it would have more details. But anywho, I don't care.

I also would like to share a book trailer I just watched (Harry Styles *sigh*) The girl who did it is AMAZING! Check it out -

I am close to tears, this was so amazingly edited, and I wish I had such skills. I used to make my own book trailers, but my video editor sucks, so I had to stop. If I decided to use the program again, my laptop would die, literally. But I just added that story to my Wattpad library so that I can read it.

Well, if I have sudden urge to post a fourth time, you know I will. See you all next time. And don't forget to watch that trailer. ♥♥♥

My Writing Goals And Other Things You Did Not Know About Me - Prepare For A LONG Post. (Part One)

So, it seems that I am back really quick, but I thought for this post I would share some writing goals, as well as a few details about my writing process and/or life off-line. So, here ye here ye!

My main writing goal I have for myself is to just write as much as I can. Growing up, writing was NEVER my best subject. I hated it, and I never wanted to get better at it. I despised the very mention of having to do an assignment, and it just made me miserable. It was my younger sister (the one who was born a year after me) who encouraged me. She is the one who recommended Wattpad to me, or rather she mentioned it and I got curious. I was already on my way to becoming an addicted reader, so I figured I would probably find something that tickled my fancy. I read a lot of "over-done" kind of stories, and they are usually my top favorite.

Over my five years of being active on Wattpad, I have found many stories that I enjoyed, some that I cannot even find anymore, because the author(s) left the site or something. I have had three personal Wattpad accounts, of which two I use additively. I used to co-own three other accounts, of which one I deleted, because it was my email we had used to activate it, and it never went anywhere (which I am really sad about, because I had been trying to co-write with many people, and they all backed-out of the deal without saying a word). I still have the other two accounts, but they are inactive because I am trying to get word from the co-owners. I also run #HashtagMagazine, and I am co-owner of Bellemagazine, both on Wattpad. Lastly, the reason I had 3 personal accounts is because I had one back in 2010, and I closed it to start over, thus creating MLHarper22 (which is linked in the pages above), and then  two years ago, I opened HaddieHarper (also linked above as Wattpad) My intentions for these two accounts is to keep my different works separated. I am mainly on HaddieHarper most of the time, because that is my baby. All of my Christian works are on that account, and that is the route I would prefer to take in my writing career.

I have often mentioned that my motto is: Write to write, and L♥VE what you write. How can write something that you don't love? Well, the stories I write are because it is what I love to write about. I love reading about people who had something impact their life in such a way that it caused them to make changes for the better. I love reading about young love, but not just young love, I mean like puppy-love. (Let me not forget to mention fan-fiction, because I love fan-fiction. One Direction, specifically.)

I have thought about just deleting MLHarper22 all together, but I have so much going on with that account that I feel like I would be losing way too much. It is too much of a risk to delete that account, so I am leaving it there. I will finish my stories that are posted there, and leave it like that. I do not have many plans to post new stories there, and the new ones that I already started will be main priority. I put a lot on my plate, I know.

As I often mention, I live in a house full of people. 20, to be exact, and the majority are my siblings. Let's not forget the horse, and the three dogs. (There used to be 2 horses, the 8 puppies, and a pet duck.) Imagine what you life would be like, if it were like that. Well, I hate to break it to you, but you are missing out. Life is NEVER dull here, and there is always something going on. Granted, I do have to wait patiently for my turn to go in the car (because I don't drive yet. 22, and I don't drive), but there is always something going on. I am more of the quiet girl in the corner, seen, but never heard. Some would take that the wrong way, but that is just me, and I am more talkative behind a computer screen.

On top of all that, my sister (the one who got me hooked to Wattpad), uses my laptop to do her on-line life, because her laptop passed away drastically a little over a year ago. Because she is ACTUALLY trying to publish a book, I am willing to let her use my laptop. I have a high respect for my sister, the one who would read college books at age ten (yes, that is how epic her skills were at such a young age). Sis, if you pass by this blog, now you know how much I respect you and your advice. I often go to her when something fun happens, or when I need writing advice.

I bring out a lot of my life-style in my writing. Everything I have ever written about has been based on something I witnessed, or read about. Some of my stories are based on day-dreams, or are out of pure delusion of a sick girl (I wrote my story, Saved, in three days, while being sick in bed. And I posted the story in those same three days.) Boom, just goes to show how creative I can be, even when sick in bed.

Listning To Teen Writers Publish!

Title says it all! But listening to today's episode is a little different (I started listening to this pod-cast last month), and here is why . . . . My story, Saved, is going to be mentioned and critiqued! xD
Ron Estrada had asked me if I would like my story to be critiqued a couple weeks ago, and the episode has gone live this morning! I am somewhere after the beginning, took a brief pause to write this. - Here is the link to the episode's web-page -

What's really cool is that some of the advice given in this pod-cast has been something I have applied to myself several times. So, I am on the right track.

- PAUSE - 50 Min.s Later -

That was awesome to listen to. I definitely learned something new about Katherine Ganzel, whom's work I admire. I got some excellent advice, and I am definitely going to put that into action ASAP.

I am going to go eat. I did not get breakfast, and as I formally mentioned yesterday, I HAVE TO EAT. So, I will see you all later!

More Books! More Carbs!

So . . . . . I am sitting at the dining table, in my usual spot, eating a HUGE bowl of pesto-pasta! xD Girl has gotta eat her calories, let me tell you. I have to eat A LOT just to get through the day. If you thought I said my dyslexia was bad, hypoglycemia is neither worse, nor better. Let me just say that I never actually believed that I had either of those things, and I still don't let myself believe it. God has been faithful to me and my family, my entire life. Why should I doubt that He will not be faithful now? Exactly.

I've got more book blitzes to post tomorrow, so keep an eye open for those. I've also got some new reviews coming up. If you would like to see my reading progress, follow my reviews on Goodreads.
I update my reading status often, and you will see how I react to EVERYTHING. I had very funny reactions to the recent book I was reading (Everealm - Everealm #1). For those of you who did not catch it, the gifs I had posted a couple days ago? The ones I was using to fantasize about certain book characters/scenes? Yeah, those were for this book. For an adult-fantasy, I quite enjoyed it.

Speaking of books I enjoy, I dare you to CLICK HERE, and I double-dare you to CLICK HERE.
*sneaky grin*

Oh! I won another book today. I will not go into detail, because I have to go mop the floors . . .

Also, CLICK HERE. I LITERALLY just stumbled onto this, and I learned something very cool

I will see you again next time! Ciao, and God bless! ♥

P.S. I just received another cool book tour-ish email for tomorrow so . ..  Yeah.

"I'm Up! I'm Up!"

It is not even 8:00am yet, but I had to be up in time to get a review posted by that time, and share it to the publisher and the author. So imagine my out-of-whack sleeping pattern since my outing on Wednesday. So, my usual early-bird behavior is kind of out the window right now, but I will be back on a normal sleep ASAP. Big families mean early risers.

Click my review blog to see the new review that has gone live. I think you guys might like it. :)

Eggs. Who likes eggs? I love eggs, even though I have only begun to eat them around two years ago. All my life, leading up to my twentieth year (yes, I am 22, but who really believes that?), we never ate eggs or chicken in any form. (I binged now and then when it came to chicken, because I love chicken. Who doesn't?!) Finally, we added those items to our every day diet, and it has been awesome. I like to tease my siblings by make my egg-yolk VERY runny (and I know it is a form of eating an egg, because I have met people who like it that way as well). Speaking of eggs, I'm going to get make me some.

I will see you all later! Don't forget to have a look at Haddie's Haven!

Harper Art, Hard At Work, And Carbs!

Hey peoples! Well, Harper Art is running again. It has been a while since I did any graphics, and I am not talking about the one I made for my art portfolio. I mean an actual book cover. Well, the cover(s) I am making is not going to go anywhere at the moment, they are just to give this author an idea of what I can do for her book. Which she is planning to publish soon, and she asked me to make a few samples for her. The book is a memoir, so it needs to reflect the content in her book. That is something to look forward to working on.

Who does not love pasta? I LOVE pasta, and I can never get enough of it.

Meanwhile, I've got this AWESOME book review tour coming up. Tomorrow, I have either one (1) or two (2) reviews that I will be posting. Both are part of a series, but they are separate authors. Both are very interesting, though I prefer one over the other. You will see why in my reviews when I post them tomorrow morning.

Be prepared for an extravagant review tomorrow. This will be the longest, most detailed I have ever done. SPOILER: I am even going to the extent of making visuals of my favorite characters. ;D I might even post it tonight, if I can get through writing the review, and finish reading the book. Which I am reading right now because I cannot seem to get away from it. ♥

I will end this post here. Have a blessed day, and I will see you all tomorrow! Ciao!

A Post From My Bed? #SorryNotSorry

So, this is going to be kind of odd, but I am still in my bed. Not feeling totally 100% awesome today. I will not go into detail, because who wants to know why my stomach decided to choose today of all days to pull jokes? I'm not going into it!

I just received an email from one of my favorite bloggers, and I won a print copy of The Kindness by Polly Samson! xD (Click the Books a la mode button in the sidebar to be taken to Karielle's blog)

So that makes . . . nine . . . Yeah, I think nine giveaways I've won. Please let me know if you do not want to hear about this subject anymore. I am not trying to sound . . . . you know. It's just very exciting and I feel like sharing it with you guys, because I have run out of people to tell at home.

Which brings me to the next subject. In my house, if you say something to one person, the entire house has heard it within ten minutes. If you whisper: So and so is coming tomorrow "Who's coming tomorrow?!" is the question shouted from the other side of the house. Good luck keeping secrets in this family.

AND GUESS WHAT ELSE! I am on the run for a Barnes&Noble $25 GC, and I have a good feeling that I will be a winner. And guess what I found for cheep and in my budget on B&N!? The Books of the Infinite by R.J. Larson!!!

I've been using this gif a lot lately. #SorryNotSorry, but gotta express it somehow!
Anyways, you know the drills. Follow my social-media if you are just tuning into my blog. Be sure to check out my book blog: Haddie's Haven. Follow me on Wattpad, or check out my profile for some cool reads. See you all later!

Okay, so I've only just learning about this! Wattpad is partnering with HarlequinPub for the anual SYTYCW (So You Think You Can Write) contest, and the grand prize is a two-book publishing contract!!!! xD

There is a category that would be perfect for one of my stories, so I will be attempting to add a few more chapters. I will not say which one, but I am at 33k+ words in this story, so I just have to work up to 50k! That's not going to be that hard . . . I think . . . BUT I HAVE TO DO THIS! I love HarlequinPub, I have read some of the books they published and I just love everything that is going on! Yes, massive freak-out happening right now, and I can barely contain it enough to type this post!

I am losing it! I have to enter this contest! I feel like I would lose my mind if I didn't! . . . . Okay, I will tell you the story I want to enter. Prepare for cover extravaganza!

Technically this story is entered in the #Wattys2015, but I am thinking that if I get to a high level in the #SYTYCW contest, I will pull out of the Wattys. I feel it in my gut to enter this, and I don't want to pass this up. Imagine this story in print or e-book format! I think I would like it in print, but e-book it cool too! *SIGH* Okay, I think I got it out of my system . . . ALMOST! I totally forgot to mention this!! If I were to win, I would ask to have the Rescued series published! I better get a move on with that! Starting with posting it in one book on Wattpad. Which I am going to go do right now. I am just going to have it in drafts and slowly make the reveal.

Okay, now I'm done. :)

Characters In My Head . . . But From What Books? #BooksFeels #Fangirling

So, I think it is alright to say that I have quite a few books that I am reviewing in the next month. I am not sure if I am allowed to share them, so I am just going to post some gifs of actors who I see playing some of the characters, in my head. I will not say who they play, nor will I say which book, I will just put the gifs.

Nicholas Hoult is bae!

Just a random first kiss in one of the books . . .

The queen is learning that her first love remains in her heart . . .

Well, those are all I will make you look at . . . Okay, just one more because the book I am reading is flooding me with feels!
